The Rhythms of Harmony in Space - Ensemble | Live Excerpt
Ten performers, positioned in a large circle, around and within the audience. They all play an instrument from the metal reed family: melodicas, accordions, and harmoniums. This 70-minute performance explores space and microtonality as a consequence of rhythmic perception of harmony. Listening becomes an active participation. Encountering a seemingly static sound world enables all participants to create their own subjective music, depending on spatial position, movement and individual choice of focus. It is a recalibrating experience of minimalistic rigor, gradually revealing deep personal and emotive dimensions.
