The July National Charter 2025 is a historic roadmap born from the July 2024 mass uprising, aiming to stop authoritarianism and rebuild democracy in Bangladesh. It proposes major reforms like: • Prime Minister term limits (max 10 years) • Independent heads of key institutions • Free and fair elections with a caretaker government • Bicameral Parliament • More freedom for MPs to debate and hold the government accountable The Charter will be voted on in a referendum during the February 2026 general election.
