The Rolls-Royce Silver Spur is the long-wheelbase version of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit which was manufactured from 1980 to 2000. It was also the first model to feature a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy, which would retract into the radiator shell if dislodged. This two-owner, well appointed 1989 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur has been well maintained throughout its life and has undergone a recent full service. This example shows well throughout and drives as well as it looks. This Silver Spur would make a wonderful regular driver or a beautiful vehicle for touring. This Rolls-Royce Silver Spur was produced in April 1989 in Crewe, England and on May 11, 1989 was acquired new and enjoyed for 25 years by the original owner through Terry York Motor Cars, LTD in Encino, CA. By 2014, Mr. Ed Morris from Arizona and Connecticut acquired the Rolls from has regularly maintained, serviced, and enjoyed this Spur while driving it only a mere 6,000 miles since 2014. The beautiful livery of this Silver Spur is Acrylic White (Paint Code 9510235) with tasteful and correct brown pinstriping along with matching pinstriping on the chrome and Acrylic White wheel covers which are in nice condition. The livery has a nice luster and shine and shows well overall apart from a few imperfections that are noticeable upon closer inspection. There are a few areas that show signs of being repainted during the original owner’s ownership. The original White Everflex top (code 5598 DH) is in nice condition and shows well. The chrome also shows well overall with a few imperfections in high use areas. The Avon white wall tires add a nice touch to the overall exterior and help this Silver Spur to perform well on the road. The interior of this Silver Spur is in nice overall condition in Tan Hide (Code A4178) with White Hide Piping (Code A4169). The white piping closely matches the Acrylic White exterior and is a beautiful combination with the Tan Hide upholstery. The dash is in very nice condition in Tan Hide, and the burl walnut wood trim shows beautifully on the dash, door caps and throughout the interior. The tan headliner is in beautiful condition as is the brown wool carpet bound in white leather. This Silver Spur is well optioned including power adjust front seats with memory, automatic climate control, beautiful rear tray tables and driver-side muton floor cover. The gauges and clock all function well. This Silver Spur comes complete with a Pioneer Audio System with Blue Tooth. The interior is in gorgeous condition and shows very well throughout. The engine compartment has been nicely detailed and is home to the Bosch Injected 6.8-liter L410 V-8 engine, which is mated to the 3-speed General Motors Turbo Hydramatic Automatic Transmission. The engine and transmission both operate very well and quietly. This Rolls-Royce comes complete with hydropneumatic self-leveling suspension and 4-wheel power disc brakes with ABS. This Silver Spur has 46,000 miles from new and has been recently serviced. It needs nothing to be enjoyed, toured, and shown. This Silver Spur comes complete with the tool kit, Rolls-Royce Owner’s Handbook, The Vehicle Identification Book, the Sales & Service booklet and the Pioneer Bluetooth Audio System Book. The service records from the fist owner were not passed on to the present owner, but we were told that it had always been well serviced.
