Scaffold wrap protects Grade II listed property development

In 2016, principal client, Z-Hotels, required a full scaffold wrap service. This was to enable the refurbishment of two existing, adjacent, Victorian-period properties into 15 new, luxury apartments featuring a ground floor and basement-level restaurant in London’s West End. Brought on by Mercer Scaffolding, the scaffold wrap needed to incorporate a PVC mesh scaffold wrap and black shrink-wrap to allow enabling works to be carried out, taking into consideration the Grade II listed status of both buildings. The PVC Scaffold wrap needed to incorporate the gantry scaffold at the front elevation, to allow loading and unloading of materials at the kerbside, while the black shrink wrap concealed an independent scaffold at the rear of the property and a temporary roof of the bridged scaffold spanning the neighbouring property on both the left and right-hand sides. Tufcoat installed 300µm black shrink-wrap sheeting as well as a black PVC mesh to ensure the site was protected from the elements and screened from view using Capco's classic monochrome branding.
