Skiing the South Face Classic , Single Cone, Remarkables New Zealand

Classic climb (WI3) on the S face of Single Cone at the Remarkables. After a big late season storm conditions were looking right for a ski descent. Made a 5m rap from the ridge onto the face, followed by some v cautious skiing over firm snow and big exposure to the first snowfield. Made another 10m rap through the rock band to the main snowfield which was holding good powder all the way down the the final rap above touchdown ice. I was expecting to have to rap all of this but it was so filled in only needed to make a shoort 10m rap out left and could ski the rest of down to the base (gopro died in the cold so couldnt video the very last bit!). Super technical, steep and exposed ski - been waiting a couple of seasons to see it in condition so good to finally tick it off!
