In this Prayagraj Vlog I am taking you on Allahpur Walking tour. I stayed at house of my friend near Saket Hospital in Shiv Nagar Colony, Kidwai Nagar in Allahpur. Daraganj area is also nearby. During my childhood, I stayed in Allahpur near Labour Chauraha for 4 years between 1995 and 1998. The famous Nagvasuki Mandir is walking distance from Allahpur. Allahpur, a historic neighborhood in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), is known for its old-world charm and cultural richness. Located near the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, it holds significance for its proximity to the sacred Sangam. The area is a blend of traditional and modern living, with narrow lanes, ancient temples, and old houses alongside newer developments. Labour Chauraha: During my morning walk, I also visited the famous Labour Chauraha in Allahpur, Allahabad. Labour Chauraha is a bustling spot where daily wage laborers gather in search of work. From early morning, this busy intersection becomes a hub of activity, with laborers offering services ranging from construction to household tasks. Contractors and local residents visit the chauraha to hire workers for various projects. The energy here is palpable, with people negotiating wages and discussing work details. Despite the hustle, Labour Chauraha reflects the spirit of resilience and hard work of the local community. It plays a crucial role in supporting the livelihoods of many in the Allahpur area.
