Vietnamese People LOVE Late Night Street Food

I eat some hủ tiếu in District 1, Saigon, Vietnam. The street stall I ate this hu tieu was on Nguyen Cu Trinh Street, in Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward of District 1 HCMC. The night stall sells hu tieu each night and seems to be a popular spot among the locals in this area. The particular hu tieu I got on this night was hủ tiếu giò heo, or noodle soup with pork knuckles. The soup is made with a pork broth, rice noodles, bean sprouts, green onions, pork knuckles, and then I added some satay sauce, sliced chilis, and lime. I ate the Hu Tieu and give you my signature Dank Review Food Review. Hu Tieu is a very popular Vietnamese noodle soup and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In this case it was more of a midnight snack. To drink I had a kumquat sugarcane juice, or nuoc mia tac. This was my first time trying nuoc mia with kumquat, and while I liked it, I think I prefer regular nuoc mia which just has that unadulterated sweetness that I enjoy. I want to give a special shout out to Hieu, aka Romeo, who unexpectedly paid for my bowl of Hu tieu. This was a random act of kindness that I really appreciate and will certainly pay forward. He was a very friendly guy and I wish him very well. Any foodies traveling to or living in Viet Nam should definitely try out some hu tieu, and give one of these street side night vendors a try. If you see a crowd of people eating at street vendor’s stall, you can pretty safely assume they’ve got some delicious food.
