Singapore Airlines First Class (Mini-Suite) - Tokyo (Narita) to Singapore (SQ 11) - Boeing 777-300ER

In this trip report, we have a look at the latest Singapore Airlines First Class product aboard a Boeing 777-300 ER flight between Tokyo and Singapore. Earlier in the day we flew in from Sapporo New Chitose airport. So upon arrival in Tokyo, we need to take a transfer bus to connect to our Singapore Airlines flight which is departing from terminal 1 at Narita airport. Of note, terminal 1 houses the check-in counters of Star Alliance and SkyTeam airlines. At the south end of the terminal, we use the Singapore Airlines First Class check-in then use the Gold track lane to expedite our passage through immigration and security. SQ outsources lounge access to their Star Alliance partner, ANA. Before our flight we use the ANA Suite Lounge, which I review in some detail. I take a look at the food offerings (buffet and a la carte), entertainment options, seating, workspaces and so forth. First class passengers get priority boarding and board the aircraft via a separate jetbridge. On board, I notice that the B777 has the NEW First Class "mini-suite" seat, which I found to be a noticeable improvement over the old B777 First class product. After we take-off, a brief refreshment service is offered. I then review the hard product seat in detail. All the nooks and crannies are examined - the seat, the cushion, the leather appointments, the fixed shell surrounding the seat, the IFE screen, the ottoman, the storage spaces, the privacy screen, toilets, etc. The different seat positions and the bed are also reviewed in the video. Before landing, a delicious multi-course dinner service is offered. The highlights include Dom Perignon champagne, caviar, steak, sushi and so forth, served on Wedgwood bone china.
