Originally released as a 10" 78RPM shellac record in 1957, on the US label Polonia. Discogs gives the original label as Drzewiecki Co. This particular audio comes from a 7" 45 EP called "Polish Hit Parade Vol 4" on Carinia (an Australian label run by Polish ex-pats), year unknown. The label of this gives the musicians as simply the K. Frank Orchestra. Wskocz Do Nilu Krokodylu translates as ‘Into The Nile, Crocodile’. Google-translated transcript from a compilation CD tells a little about the performer: "Jadwiga Czerwińska (1913-1994) was an actress and singer, befriended with Fryderyk Járosy and the entire artistic milieu of "Polish" London, where she settled after the Second World War. An irreplaceable performer in the radio cabaret programs created by Marian Hemar in the London section of Radio Free Europe. She enriched the performance with her own interpretive interpretation, which is reminiscent of the singer's achievements of Irena Kwiatkowska. “Strong voice was supported by perfect diction, a necessary condition in the transmission of humorous texts, because a verbal wit should be expressively given, so that it would sound properly. The distanced, consciously pastiche style of Czerwińska's taming tames even banal song lyrics in the street-backyard or dancing-pub style, creating original stage songs from them."
