It's about time we get to this part of the series. These next few videos will focus on by far my favourite characters in this game and in the entire series - the male ninjas. This game features 8 of them in total, and we will play as each and everyone of them. Starting off with the most iconic character of the entire franchise - the ninja spectre, Scorpion. Scorpion was one of the few original characters along with Sub Zero and Reptile, and since then he has become an instant fan favourite. The series later got Smoke and Noob Saibot in MK2, and then Ermac and Rain in UMK3. None of them appeared in the original MK3 however. But we will get into the other ninjas much later. So why is Scorpion such a fan favourite? Simply put, his special moves are some of the most iconic in video game history. He has a back and forward teleport dash attack, and a pretty sweet air throw. But what sets him apart is the legendary Spear move, a projectile which impales the opponent and pulls them towards him. I did do Smoke just before Scorpion, and he also had the Spear there. The best thing to come out of this move, however, is his most iconic quote, "Get Over Here!", a catchphrase which Ed Boon himself has voiced all the way back since the original Mortal Kombat. It has had some variations, some as "Come Here!", and even profane versions in MK Shaolin Monks, most notably "Get the Fuck Over Here!". His finishers are also pretty wild. Since the original he's had the famous "Toasty!" fatality where he takes off his mask and breathes fire on the loser. However, his second finisher is different depending on which game you are playing. UMK3 had the finisher where he sends the loser to Hell and summons all of his Shirai Ryu ninja clan members to beat up the opponent. Trilogy, however, dumped that fatality and instead replaced it with the Hell Hand, which he summons to pull the opponent down and send them to Hell. The N64 version does have both of these finishers from both games, but on this version of the game he only gets the Hell Hand fatality. This run was an absolute breeze. With 11 consecutive wins and 0 losses, achieving this feat was absolutely way too easy because I have practically mastered this character completely. This is also the first time where I show off the Subway Stage Fatality, something which I did not show off before. Next, we're going to be playing as Reptile, and then Classic Sub Zero, followed by Ermac and the rest. Enjoy!
