We Replaced 350 Strawberry Plants… Here’s Why

In this video, I am replanting all 350 strawberry plants because the original plants unfortunately died out. Throughout the video, I will talk about the problems that led to the first batch failing and explain what I believe caused those issues. Rather than hiding the mistakes, I want to show the real process and share what went wrong so it can be prevented in the future. After the introduction, I go into detail about the challenges I faced with the first plants and then explain three different ways I plan to prevent those same problems from happening again as I move forward with the new plants. Once the problems and solutions are discussed, I begin preparing the grow system by removing all of the dying strawberry plants. Clearing everything out is the first step in getting the setup ready for the new batch. After that, I head outside to work on preparing some of the materials that can still be reused. This includes cleaning and rinsing some of the old soil so it can be used again for the new planting. Taking the time to properly clean and prepare the soil helps create a better environment for the new strawberry plants and gives them a stronger start. The final part of the video focuses on preparing the strawberry bare roots and planting them. I go through the process of cleaning the bare roots and rinsing them so they are ready to be placed into the refreshed system. Once everything is prepared, I begin planting all 350 strawberry bare root plants.
