(c) Square-Enix / Masashi Hamauzu Final Fantasy XIII Piano Collections No sheet music requests please. Buy the official sheet music book. ------------------------ At the time of recording, no official sheet music was available. This song is played according to my own transcription of the song which was performed by Aki Kuroda. ------------------------ After a very long time, there is a new video from me again! =) Vanille's Theme, a lovely song, and in my opinion, the best piece from the Final Fantasy XIII Piano Collections. Let me tell you a bit about how it came to this video. It's been a long time since my last video. I mainly concentrated on learning jazz the last years, and no other Final Fantasy song motivated me enough to make a video for it. The disappointing Final Fantasy XI Piano Collections also had no song which I would have liked to play. Fortunately, after playing the game Final Fantasy XIII, its Piano Collections were released. Like the OST, it's a very high quality album, and I'm glad that there are again good Piano Collections. The Final Fantasy XIII Piano Collections have a couple of songs which I really like, while some others feel only too much like background music for a solo piano. Vanille's Theme is my absolute favorite of the album. However, the official sheet music was only scheduled for late August 2010, so I decided to train my ear and try transcribing it. It took me one whole day, but I'm very happy and proud that it worked out that well =) I think it's very like the original. Including the transcription, this video took me one week to make. Enjoy!
