This hike is the third in a series from trails listed in the Willamette National Forest Sweet Home Ranger District Trail Guide. Of 33 hikes detailed in the guide, I'm now through 7. Some easy, some difficult. I know at least one that I plan to make an overnight backpacking trip when I tackle it. These hikes were no more than moderate at worst. The views from the Iron Mountain Lookout are outstanding anytime, and during June the wildflower display is off-the-charts beautiful!
