“Eddie the Eagle” is a 2016 biographical movie which follows Michael “Eddie” Edwards and his passion for the dangerous sport of ski jumping. Despite all the struggles and obstacles he had to face, Eddie managed to join the Olympics in 1988. This movie is incredibly heartwarming and inspiring, lead by great performances by Taron Edgerton and Hugh Jackman and accompanied by the gorgeous score by Matthew Margeson. The music itself is incredibly refreshing thanks to its marvelous use of synthetic sounds (which is appropriate for its setting in the 80s) and a memorable main theme, rearranged quite often in the score but never repeatitive. This is one of the most underated sport movies of the last decade, as well as one of the best scores I've heard in recent years.
