Starting onion sets in modules + planting out | Diary of a Yorkshire Gardener

I’ve always struggled to grow onions, when I planted sets straight into the ground they always died/went mushy. Last year I tried starting them off in modules to develop roots and shoots first, then planted out and it worked really well! I’ve tried to grow from seed and not had much luck sadly.
