Today we are looking at the philosophy of Vladimir Putin. As a complex and isolated leader, it can often be difficult to understand the rationale and driving influences for his decisions. In this video we will attempt to understand Putin a little bit better, by looking at 3 key elements of his philosophical beliefs that drive the Russian political agenda: Patriotism, Orthodoxy, and Eurasianism. Vladimir Putin has managed to ascend to a position of total control within Russia and its political sphere, and this video should hopefully make the basis of his claim and strategy to ascension much more clear or at least provide a lens to analyse this through. More recently, decisions such as invading Ukraine and pursuing the Ukraine war have left many puzzled as to why and perhaps his philosophical and political roots can explain his own personal justifications.
