CBI arrests senior IAS official of Chhattisgarh BL Aggarwal in corruption case

CBI has arrested senior IAS official of Chhattisgarh government BL Aggarwal in a corruption case. The case was registered against the former Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Agrawal, and Greater Noida resident Bhagwan Singh, Hyderabad resident Syed Burhanuddin alias OP Sharma alias Singh and other unknown persons under the section 120-B, punishment of criminal conspiracy of IPC read with section 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.. CBI also arrested former ED Joint Director JP Singh and 3 other officials from Ahmedabad money extortion case... CBI had last year registered a case of criminal conspiracy under the IPC and various offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Singh. The case was registered after ED wrote to the CBI seeking investigation against Singh, who was then joint director of ED in Ahmedabad.
