What's the difference between love and obsession? That's the question rising pop star Oliver (Archie Madekwe) asks in his latest single in ‘Lurker,’ a wickedly clever and decidedly homoerotic new thriller in theaters now. The film follows retail employee Matthew (Théodore Pellerin) who somehow manages to worm his way into Oliver’s inner circle and will do whatever it takes to stay there. But what does Oliver really want? Is it fame and adoration? Or is there a deeper attraction between the two that keeps pulling them closer? ‘Lurker’ manages to keep the nature of its central relationship ambiguous, which only makes each twist and turn of the narrative all the more heart-pounding. In conversation, Madekwe Pellerin share why they see this a “love story,” and reveal their interpretations of the movie’s incredibly charged wrestling scene.
