5 Day Southern Utah Road Trip: Avoiding the Mighty 5 National Parks

Join us on an unforgettable 5-day adventure through Southern Utah's stunning landscapes and hidden gems! From the vivid hues of Dixie National Forest's Red Canyon to the breathtaking views from Moonscape Overlook, we've packed our days with some of the most beautiful, less-traveled paths, and most dog friendly trails the area has to offer. Day 1: Red Canyon Magic We kick off our journey with a hike through the striking Red Canyon in Dixie National Forest, marveling at the towering red spires and deep valleys carved by nature's hand. Day 2: The Golden Wall Trail & Scenic Drives Next, we tackle the Golden Wall Trail, where every turn brings a new panorama of rock formations and vibrant colors that seem almost otherworldly. Our adventure continues along the breathtaking Scenic Byway Route 12, leading us to Kodachrome State Park. Day 3: Scenic Drives, State Park Wonders, and Coffee Starting at Kodachrome State Park, we explore the Panoramic Trail, capturing the park’s stunning geological features. Then, a morning stop at Kiva Koffeehouse offers not just great coffee but also incredible views that energize us for the drive along the scenic Burr Trail. Day 4: Sunrises and Sleep Starting the day with a stunning sunrise at Moonscape Overlook, a moment worth waking up early for - and beating the heat the rest of the day.
