After two days of battling wind and waves, Day 3 of our Myall Lakes Kayak Camping Expedition begins in pure calm. 🌅 From sunrise to sunset, on Day 3 is all about slowing down, exploring, and soaking up the beauty of wild Australia. 🌅 We wake to a chorus of birds and coffee by the lake, cook up bacon and eggs for breakfast, and set off across Two Mile Lake to explore new campsites and hidden corners. The morning is calm, the water glassy — perfect paddling. Our journey takes us up Boolambayte Creek, a tranquil stretch of water surrounded by paperbarks, reeds, and birdsong. We stop for lunch, then paddle back across the lake to our favourite bush campsite for an afternoon of fishing, hammock time, and a golden sunset fade to night.
