Typical commercial FLIR cameras operates at 9Hz while this one will have an update rate of 25Hz. I have used both and the video recording capabilities of the FLIR ones are a bit out of date while the Thermal Master P2 Pro can record within the app and also allow for screen capture with audio. There is a difference though, this tiny thing is not as rugged but I have used a similar model for 1 year 3 months and it did not break on me yet. It has allowed me to debug countless thermal issues and make countless review videos with thermal imaging. It's an essential tool for the DIYer. You are also not paying for a screen and battery in this plug in camera, saving you money from having to buy yet another screen and/or built in battery.
