My name is Xanthe. Making comment on something I saw past few days. Someone admitting to exaggerating in their autism assessment. Not the first time I have seen it. Those desperate for validation from strangers tend to do it. Then, also accuse me of not supporting people with disabilities. Some advocates and activists evangelise that disabilities have no impairment and are not disorders. Just a difference. This dilution into vague non-impairing traits in half the populations trivialises disabilities. Diagnosis has turned into a joke. Incidentally, I have clinically rated impairment, which I gave an overview of, for context. Masking to the degree claimed is not possible, so that no one noticed anything, in childhood or most of adulthood. Unmasking is a cringe performance.
