The 2020 CCAT Student Poster Competition, sponsored by ITS Michigan, focused on Connected and Automated Technology, Cybersecurity for CAV Deployments, Mobility Data Applications, Shared Mobility, and CCAT’s Research Thrusts. We received 20 submissions, and on October 28th, our panel of judges narrowed it down to four finalists. Thank you to ITS Michigan for your sponsorship of this student outreach effort. Our panel of judges: John Abram is the Director of Traffic and Operations for Macomb County, Michigan which boasts to be on the cutting edge of Transportation Technology with a robust communication system and an advanced Traffic Operations Center. Barb Land is the Executive Director at the Square One Education Network, a Michigan based non-profit educational organization serving K-12 teachers and students. Anthony Magnan is the Head of Emerging Vehicle Technology for Verizon Wireless, integrating 5G use cases and requirements into future vehicle platforms and the Smart City initiative. Danil Prokhorov is the Head of the Future Research Department at Toyota North American R&D, and has been involved in research and planning for various intelligent technologies, such as highly automated vehicles, AI and other futuristic systems. Liz Pulver manages research programs for the Technology Research Division at State Farm. She collaborates with academic and industry partners and stakeholders to drive State Farm’s role in the safe and sustainable deployment of connected and autonomous vehicles in the mobility ecosystem. Rini Sherony is the Senior Principal Engineer at Toyota’s Collaborative Safety Research Center working on active safety/ADAS collaboration and crash data analysis. -- Follow us!
