TasRail freight train crossing Nicholls St Devonport on 14/09/2023 at 21:31, I meant to upload this video months ago but in true form I never got around to it until now, this was the last night at Barclay Motor Inn (just around the corner from where I filmed this)while Housing were renovating our bathroom to make it more accessible. This part of the railway line runs behind the old Devonport Showgrounds which was sold a couple of years back for a housing development that will eventually occupy the land, an obstacle that currently stands in the way is how to go about demolishing the old animal sheds that are packed with asbestos, given the state of those sheds I hold very little confidence in the condition of the asbestos, one thing’s certain, no building materials will be salvageable because it would all be contaminated with the stuff.
