Another double visual! This time, the 243. This is definitely one of those main high road routes that are quite busy and useful. I wanted to do this route for some time, and unfortunately the sun was beaming on us on the wrong direction half the time which sucked. This route doesn’t go through to best areas (I’m looking at you Tottenham). My buses was filled to brim around the Dalston and Haggerston area, and the fact we kept stopping at mostly every stop certainly didn’t help. I really underestimated how much this route went into North—East London honestly. I’d rate route a 6.5/10, it does its job well but I don’t like a good amount of the areas this route goes through, however I’m really looking forward to this routes new BZLs. Route 243 is operated by Arriva London North at their Tottenham (AR) garage currently using Wright Streetdeck Electroliners (ESs) and Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 B5LHs (HVs) at the time of writing. The routes spans from Wood Green to Waterloo Station via Lordship Lane, Bruce Grove, South Tottenham, Stamford Hill, Stoke Newington, Dalston, Haggerston, Hoxton, Shoreditch, Old Street, Clerkenwell, Holborn, and Aldwych. The route runs a 24 hr service daily and has a PVR of 27 in the day, and a PVR of 11 in the night.
