Histotripsy treatment at Saint John’s marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s commitment to leading-edge medical technology and exceptional patient care. Dr. Tran’s patients underwent the new treatment on April 15, 2025, guided by a team of cancer experts from multiple disciplines to ensure the best care for each patient’s individual needs. Dr. David Tran, director of interventional radiology at Tower Saint John’s Imaging, played a pivotal role in performing the first histotripsy procedure at Saint John’s Health Center, leading his team and supported by Paul Shin, M.D., a surgical oncology fellow at Saint John’s Cancer Institute.
