☘️☘️𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗡𝗝𝗢𝗬𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗧 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗞’𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬☘️☘️ We bring you some inspiring performance from a magnificent concert recorded back in 1993 which includes a rich line-up of local talent with young and adult performers who all gave generously of their time to raise funds for the Ederney Community Development Trust’s periodical ‘The Glendarragh Valley News’. The concert coincided with a visit by television operator Channel 4 who were visiting Ederney to record for a TV programme about rural life. The two-hour video features the cream of the community’s local artists in the field of entertainment containing music, song, dance, and a theatrical performance by the Ederney Mummers. The performers in concert include (but not limited to) were Dodie Maguire (MC), Joanne McCaffrey, Sean McCaffrey, Aideen Moohan, Janette Durnin, Gerald Durnin, Jennifer McCaffrey, Claire McKeever, Stephanie McGrath, Conor McGrath, Damien McKeever, Frances Monaghan, Eleanor McGrath, Jonathan Milligan, Stephen Milligan, Robert Milligan, Ernie Irvine, Sean Nugent, Billy Rushe, Declan McKeever, Fionnuala Morris, Aidan Monaghan, Grainne McHugh, Claire Irvine, Claire Morris, Clodagh Monaghan, Ellen McCaffrey, Christine Cassidy, Bernie Gallagher, Bridie Durnin, Mary McKeever, Rose Morris, Declan Morris, other unknown set-dancers, Phonsie McKenna, Danny Gormley, Tommy Corry and other mummers unknown, Laurence & Priscilla Connolly. Apologies if we left anyone out. Sadly, some of the performers on that concert night are no longer with us. Finally, we would express our grateful thanks again to Bart Daly for his generosity in making this priceless record of our community history available for the enjoyment of all and to Janette Durnin-Mongan & Leo Mulligan in arranging to get the video prepared for viewing.
