Kovu/Zira/Kiara — Numb/From the Inside (Lion King AMV)

Yes, my recent addiction to Linkin Park has led me to compile two of their songs into one AMV. I hope it turned out well, because it was a little tricky to make this one. The transition between the two songs, at least. And yes, this is, for lack of a better term, the sequel to my "Hell" Lion King AMV. I've based this one around Kovu, who's grows up under Zira's iron paw, forced to hate someone he doesn't even know. When he becomes part of the Pridelanders, he realizes that he doesn't want to be burdened with carrying out her revenge, and confronts her after resolving to live his own life. The second half of the song is more about Kovu's struggles to connect with Kiara. Even after he realizes he's in love with her, the anger Zira had placed in him makes it difficult for him to break free from his darker self and entwine with Kiara. He is tired of lying to the Pridelanders but reluctant to trust anyone. He eventually turns on Zira, and only after her death does he grieve for her and finally bonds with Kiara. I'm not sure if these two "parts" of the AMV are sequential, or "what ifs" to Kovu's decisions. In a way, one leads to another, but at the same time, they're very different outcomes.
