One Day in Death Valley in May is more than enough, it is WAY too hot to hike or spend too much time exploring one particular spot. But it is still well worth it as long as you prepare for the day well with water, sunscreen, hat, electrolytes and good snacks! If you have an America the beautiful pass DO NOT put it in your window, it will melt! Here’s where we stopped: 📍Night in Pahrump, Nevada 📍Zabriskie Point 📍Badwater Basin 📍Natural Bridge 📍Devil’s Golf Course 📍Artist’s Drive (SO worth the loop!) 📍Golden Canyon (reapply sunscreen and bring water!) 📍Furnace Creek (there’s a hotel here if you want to spend the night) 📍Mesquite Sand Dunes 📍Night in Beatty, Nevada (drink $3.50 ice cold beers at Happy Burro and have dinner at Smokin’ J’s BBQ) I would have loved to check out Ubehebe Crater, but it was a two-hour round trip from the Mesquite Sand Dunes, and it was getting late in the day.
