After nearly a year of minor-key pieces on the organ and piano (with the exception of a Goldberg Variation), this thrilling piece by Johann Gottfried Walther (1684-1748) has been so fun to try on my own this summer. The composer's life was almost entirely contemporaneous to that of his cousin Johann Sebastian Bach, and he seems to be nearly as attentive with such order in the bright passages of this chorale. I loved recording my previous video of Bach's BWV 639 'on two organs' so I thought I'd do the same for this piece. Again, each section indicates the organs' company, location, and time of production.
