Went in to the mountain today knowing the avalanche danger rating was high, right from valley bottom to alpine yet we were still a bit surprised by the one we set off. It was a good lesson for us not to get too complacent after playing in an area for a couple hours and not seeing any signs of instability. All in all it was another good day spent up on the mountains.
