291. Friendship With Jesus

Here is another song that was sung in a little country church of my youth. It was the Assembly of God Church in Greenbrier, Mo. A small congregation of maybe 30 people. But my life was impacted by those people in my early teens. A piece of the chorus came to mind the other day along with the melody and l searched it out on line to get the words back. But I couldn't find anybody doing it this way. The melody was pretty much the same, but the tempo and dynamics are all different than the way that I remember it. The way we are doing it here is pretty much the way I heard it back in the 1960's. The pastors wife led the singing while playing an electric arch top guitar and encouraged my to play along. recorded Feb 22, 2028
