This is a video overview of me discussing what is essential to know when assembling a 16/4 double shielded spindle cable with an HY ceramic type spindle connector. These connectors typically are for 1.5kw units, but are becoming more frequently used in larger sized spindles. These are NOT a standard aviation connectors, and their not available for purchase from anyone, but the vendor of the spindle. Any spindle with a power rating of 800kw up to 4kw will require 16/4 double shielded cable as a required component regardless of if its power rating is 110v, or 220v. You should never use any smaller gauge wire, or single shielded cable as a substitution. If you can't afford the proper cable its better to save, and do it right then be unsafe, and put you, your family,your business, and equipment at risk. A custom built 10ft. 16/4 double shielded cable as in the video with this connector installed is $135, including return shipping in the US using USPS 2-3 day priority mail service.
