Given Holly and I already visited the Amalfi Coast for our wedding, we decided to revisit Italy for our anniversary and take a trip to the beautiful Lake Como (Part 1 of this 6-day Italy trip from Milan can be found here:    • Milan | Cinematic Travel Film (Sony A7S III)  ). Lake Como had a similar feel to the various locations we visited in the Amalfi Coast (i.e., Positano, Ravello) and was just as easy to navigate with various ferries leaving at all hours of the day to small remote towns / villages full of color and culture. We primarily stayed in the middle of the lake, staying in Varenna and visiting Bellagio, Menaggio, San Giovanni, Grand Hotel Tremezzo, I Giardini di Villa Melzi, Villa del Balbianello, and other small towns / villages near those main areas. The food was great (lots of pasta and pizza) and the scenery was breathtaking. Our favorite part of the trip was taking a private boat tour of the lake for 3 hours - although on the pricey-side of excursions, if you can swing it, we highly recommend it! Lastly, if you decide to visit Lake Como, I would strong encourage you to wake up early for sunrise as the colors of the lake / mountains are gorgeous (pink, purple, and orange) and the lake is so calm it looks like glass!
