"Urban Sprouts" is the name of the innovative and eco-sustainable Smart Green Parking project by FS PARK SpA, a company of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane group, complete with a cycling system and next-generation micro-mobility. The project completely overturns the traditional, now obsolete, urban parking structure. Parking changes its philosophy: it "sprouts" a new experience of urban connection in harmony with nature. From today, parking areas become true energy hubs and urban parks with flowerbeds, Paulownia trees (the plant that absorbs the most CO2 in the world), draining pavements that promote rainwater absorption and the growth of lawns, photovoltaic shelters that collect water for irrigation, and smart, interconnected floral street furniture that generates energy from the sun and wind for its own needs. Furthermore, a system of Smart Kiosks, digital information points, provides access to postal services, registry office services, telemedicine, and even tourism offerings in our cities. The project bears the signature of architect Giancarlo Zema, known for his inspiring eco-sustainable architecture and pioneering infrastructure for future mobility. The Smart Green Parking system features large photovoltaic panels, technological trees, and tulip-shaped wind turbines, slow and ultra-fast charging points for electric vehicles, as well as charging bays for special, latest-generation e-bikes and electric scooters with attractive designs, which dock and recharge from special "technological buds" that grow from the ground. With FS PARK's Smart Green Parking system, cities are equipped with a one-of-a-kind infrastructure that brings beauty, functionality, interconnectivity, and sustainability to the community, making it more rewarding to use and park your electric vehicle, knowing you're contributing to the well-being of the environment.
