Trailer to my 'slow film' Het Zuiderstrand. A day at the beach near The Hague, Holland. Watching people on a relaxed summer day, with a calm, observing camera. And the trailer can even be seen all summer as a 'break movie'.The film is the result of an afternoon filming at one of the most beautiful beaches in the Netherlands, the Zuiderstrand or also 'quiet beach' near The Hague. The beach is a place where people can be themselves in a relaxed way, the space invites to all kinds of activities and antics: walking and swinging in love, running with or without a dog, doing yoga exercises, sunbathing lazily and smearing, doing a somersault in the air from a standing position, swimming and surfing… turn on your camera and it all happens by itself. Beautiful light, a beautiful sunset, and at the end also pay attention to the dolphin-like porpoise that passes by.The special, atmospheric electronic music is by the Delft composer Bob van der Meijden.The film is a shortened version of the original one-hour film, made for SlowNet, an online film platform with 'stimulating' films, as a 'window to the world' for people with dementia and people with intellectual disabilities.
