For my trip to Srinagar, Kashmir I stayed in Houseboat Tashkand which was in front of Ghat No. 8 and was quite warm and cozy. 🛥️ About Houseboat Tashkand The houseboat is run by Musa Ji and is quite simple yet beautiful. It isn't like other luxury houseboats in Dal Lake and the USP of this place is its simplicity and authenticity. I met the amazing family of Musa Ji, his mother who treated me like his own daughter, and his wife who was really sweet and caring. During my solo trip to Srinagar, I didn't once feel awkward or unsafe, especially while staying with them. Honestly, it felt like a home away from home. So, if you are looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly houseboat stay in Srinagar, then Tashkand is a super choice! 💰 Srinagar, Kashmir Houseboat Price Since I booked it online, it cost me 3,300 INR for two nights on the EP plan. Generally, the houseboats can cost you anywhere between 500 - 5000 INR per room, depending on the facilities and comfort provided by them. If you wish to book a stay with Musa Ji, you can contact them on this number - 7006478132 🛒 Inclusions and Exclusions Since I opted for the EP plan, meals weren't a part of the price. However, you can get it added for an extra fee or order according to your mood. They provide you with basic toiletries and a towel for your stay. There are blankets and table fans available in each room. The living room also features a TV. Most importantly, there is a cute deck and you can dine on the deck if you wish to. 😊 🛥️ Why Should You Stay in a Houseboat Honestly, I feel that you should stay at least one night stay in the houseboat. The hospitality and the experience are completely out of the world.
