Air Marshal (Ret’d) Sir Stuart Atha, Former Deputy Commander Operations, Royal Air Force UK Space Command's Defence Space Conference is the leading platform for all those who seek to influence and play a role in the development and operation of the UK's military space capabilities. Defence Space Conference brings together senior UK military and government officials, space commanders from international space partners and allies and leaders in disruptive technologies, including the space SME and technology start-up communities. Defence Space coheres military space strategy and operations with space technology and innovation. The conference programme is led by UK Space Command, the Ministry of Defence's lead for space operations, space workforce and space capability. Our key conference partner is Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and other participants include the Ministry of Defence, Strategic Command, the UK Space Agency and DSTL. The two-day conference is the UK's primary event for sharing strategic plans, operational capability targets, and programme delivery milestones for the Space Domain while also facilitating dialogue and deepening UK Space Command's and UK Defence's relationships with partners across government, the space industrial sector, international partners and academia. Outputs from the conference are intended to help steer discussions and guide strategies for new technologies and capabilities to enhance Space support to operations, develop the UK's space workforce, and bolster UK Defence capability.
