Updated! Dewalt battery powered mini boombox -- new Skar Audio TX46 coaxials/30-Ohm resistors

So many car coaxials have "hot" and crappy sounding tweeters. That is the problem with these Skar Audio 4x6" coaxials. Waaaay too overpowering...not balanced with the woofer. So, thankfully, they came with enough tweeter wire length to splice the positive tweeter wire and install a 50w, 30-Ohm resistor to knock down the power going to the tweeters. It worked. The coaxials now sound balanced. However, it is STILL a crap tweeter (not silk dome). They are still mildly chirpy at times...whoosh-whoosy with some musical passages. I had NVX 4x6" coaxials in there before...excellent silk dome tweeter that was balanced properly with the woofer. Splendid sounding! However, the woofer gave up too fast. So, even at lower volumes, it got muddy sounding...needed more bass Skar Audio makes great budget friendly subwoofers...and it shows with these small 4x6s. Excellent bass for a small speaker, but the tweeter is pure junk. Knocking it down helped tremendously...but, it still has a little harshness at some frequencies.
