In this video, I'll show you how to hide a cell or button on Grid for iPad, which can be useful if you need to hide some buttons for motor-planning purposes or for visual overstimulation. Please note that robust vocabulary access is always recommended, and it is not typically recommended to hide buttons. If you do need to temporarily hide buttons while a user is learning the motor-plan, please also have an implementation plan in place where more buttons are opened regularly. Hiding a button or cell works in Super Core 50, Super Core 30, Voco Chat, Beeline, Vocabulary for Life, Symbol Talker, Text Talker, Alpha Core and any other grid sets available in Grid for iPad. First, open up the grid set that you want to edit and go into Edit mode. Then, navigate to the cell or button that you want to hide. Select edit cell, then toggle to the style icon. Look for the "cell accessibility" option, which should be set to "touch/switch" by default. To hide the cell or button, select "hidden". The cell or button will disappear from view and won't be accessible to the user. To unhide the cell or button later, repeat the same steps but this time under cell accessibility select "touch and switch". #aac #gridforipad
