However, a pro-Palestinian hacking group called Dark Storm Team later took responsibility, claiming they launched a *DDOS attack* that flooded X with fake traffic, causing the site to crash. Millions of users experienced issues logging into their accounts or loading posts. *Downdetector* reported over 40,000 complaints at the peak of the outage. Engineers at X worked tirelessly to restore the platform, eventually bringing it back online. Musk suggested that the scale of the attack indicated the involvement of a "coordinated group" or even a foreign government. This cyberattack comes amid heightened tensions between Ukraine and the U.S. Following a controversial Oval Office meeting, former President Donald Trump accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of prolonging the war with Russia. Musk himself has been vocal, calling Zelensky "evil" and blaming him for pushing a *"forever war."* Meanwhile, Washington has drastically changed its stance, cutting military aid to Ukraine and engaging in direct talks with Moscow. The situation escalated further when Musk stated that *Starlink* was crucial for Ukraine’s military operations.
