www.HistoryInYourOwnBackyard.com info@HistoryInYourOwnBackyard.com 812-623-5727 The former Boone County Clerk's Office in Burlington, Kentucky was built in 1853 and is a "Temple" form of Greek Revival architecture. It is made out of brick and is about 200 yards from its original location. Originally located at the corner of Kentucky State Routes 18 and 237 it sat at this location until 1925 when it was purchased by a local bank who moved the building directly across the street by rolling it on logs. In 2001 the building was purchased back by Boone County and then moved to its present location near the parking lot behind the former Boone County Courthouse.
