This is a long time coming. First, I need to say that what is shown from this video is the work of the incredible talented people from the AC community and my ppfilter for Pure. The video prominently showcases the work from: The geniuses, Ilja and Peter for CSP and Pure Talented car modders such as MNBA for the GT3RS, MMW group for the F8, and Tidy for the Vulcan using the best of what AC can offer. And many more talented modders listed below! and my work, S K Y D C 0.4 ppfilter. I think we've just come to a point that we are pretty much maximizing everything that Assetto Corsa has to offer, to a point we have to wait for new features from Pure to make more graphical improvements. I am very happy to say It's where D C 0.4 stands, at the peak of what Pure allow us to do in terms of lighting and shading. Obviously, this is a bold statement to say since there's no limit in coding and the insane stuff you can bring on the table. But I feel I've reached a limit. S K Y is about improving lighting. Attempting to make a ppfilter look so different from the rest is the hardest thing to pull off. In fact, very very very few ppfilters manage to make significant differences. For the first time ever, after making ppfilters for a year now, I am confident to state that D C 0.4 makes a significant difference in your visuals. You'll mostly see the difference on car reflections. The difference is night and day, especially during twilight time. This is a change I always wanted to make since the beginning of the D C project and I am literally just happy that I finally made that happen. What you see is purely gameplay, meaning no photomode adjustments, it is 100% gameplay, the results you see when driving. You can actually get similar results in 0.4 preview if you adjust the CPL amount in photomode! We're currently in 0.4 preview but you will be able to get your hands on 0.4 once a new version of Pure comes out. I am still making some tweaks here and there. Meanwhile, you can already get a taste of 0.4 with the preview now! Assuming Pure updates come out every 2 months, it is expected that a new version will come out at the end of this month, fingers crossed!
