TAWANG VLOG | Part 1 | Kharagpur to Tawang(Lhou)

After days of struggling to get train tickets, we finally managed to book 5 tatkal tickets from Kolkata (KOAA) to Guwahati (GHY) on 27th September 2025 — and that’s where our Tawang journey truly began. We left IIT Kharagpur around 1 PM on 28th September, took a train from KGP to Howrah, squeezed into two crowded metro rides, and somehow reached Kolkata station by 7:30 PM. At 9:30 PM, we finally boarded our train… only for the chaos to continue. At 4 AM, one of our friends got caught by the TT 😭 but the rest of the journey turned into a full-on vibe — Heads Up, Antakshari, Bluff, and endless laughter. We reached Guwahati around 4 PM on 29th September, tired but excited. The next morning, we started our road journey towards Tawang — a 15-hour long ride through the mountains. The car journey itself became an experience: beautiful sceneries, besura karaoke sessions, loud sing-alongs, nonstop chatter, and a fun chaotic ride that somehow made the long hours fly by. We even got stuck in a roadblock due to a landslide near Dirang. By the time we reached Lhou, it was dark and raining. We walked down a steep, pitch-dark slope for about 10 minutes before finally reaching Karma’s village house, nestled right in the middle of the mountains. The journey was exhausting, chaotic, unpredictable… but also incredibly fun.
