In this episode of Cody Builds, I bring my 1975 Ford F150 project truck, “Elsworth,” back to life for the first time in over 30 years! After months of work, the final pieces come together—installing the last fuel system fittings, pressure-testing for leaks, finishing hidden wiring for the headlights and cooling fans, and troubleshooting a tricky relay box issue. I discovered that the cooling fans were switched ground while the fuel pump was switched power, which meant a complete relay box rewire. Once sorted, I topped off the engine fluids and fired up the budget-built 390 FE engine. The first startup wasn’t without its challenges, but hearing Elsworth run again after three decades made it all worth it! If you’re into classic Ford trucks, FE engines, or budget-friendly builds, you won’t want to miss this milestone moment. 🔧 What you’ll see in this video: • Final fuel system installation & leak testing • Hidden wiring for headlights and cooling fans • Relay box troubleshooting & rewiring • Filling and breaking in the 390 FE engine • First startup in 30 years! 👉 Subscribe to follow along as I continue the restoration and build of this classic F100/F150 project!
