Chupp (transl. Silence!) is a 1997 Hindi-language thriller film, produced by Ramesh U Lakhiani, Keshav R Tolani under Kay Aar Films banner and directed by Ambrish Sangal. Starring Jeetendra, Om Puri, Somy Ali, Avinash Wadhavan and music composed by Pradeep Laad. The film was a remake of 1989 Kannada thriller Tarka which was based on Agatha Christie's play The Unexpected Guest. Movie Plot : The movie begins with an escaped convict, Rakesh Rai, who hides in the house of an industrialist named Keshav Narang. Rakesh discovers that Keshav has been murdered by his wife, Asha, who was being abused by Keshav. Rakesh and Asha decide to help each other cover up the crime. As they navigate through various challenges, they uncover secrets about each other's pasts. The plot thickens with anonymous threatening calls and the involvement of Inspector Kadam, leading to a thrilling climax where the true culprits are revealed.
