The San Gabriel Valley in Southern California is a region of Los Angeles County. The Mission San Gabriel was the fourth of the 21 California Missions and was known as the "Pride of the California Missions." The Native American population living in the area, the Gabrieleno-Tongva Indians, helped to build the Mission and remained a key part of the story of the region.
