The Feel Good Garden What's Going On, Update on No Dig Raised Bed (And A Lovely Surprise)

There's no digging or gardening, instead there's a tour of our UK allotments in December and a lovely surprise.  We start at the side of the polytunnel and what's planted along there towards the pond. The spring flower bulbs are starting to come through. In the first raised bed are leeks and parsley. The second raised bed has beetroot plants. The rsised bed at the top has swede, leeks and a tree cabbage. The next raised bed has cauliflower and other brassicas.  Moving across, the following raised bed has onions and garlic. The Kale Bed isn't a raised bed but the end brassica bed is a no dig raised bed. It contains Savoy cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli  plants.  In amongst the gogi berry plants are onions and leek plants. The archway that once had runner beans, all along are nasturtium seeds but there is a couple of nice hebe plants. What's eating the kitchen scraps in the compost bin? Beans will be planted under the pergola again. The perennial cornfowers have taken well. The garlic chives will come back again next year. Im excited to see how the broad beans are doing in #allotment #allotmentgarden #beginnergardening 9 the polytunnel. Have they germinated? The polytunnel zip needs repairing again. It's time to open the package and see what's inside. I'm thrilled with what I find, and I decide to display them in the shed. The allotment storage area looks a bit messy, but the shelving will be handy for the new polytunnel. Theres gooseberry and blueberry bushes. Along the pathway on allotment plot 2 are blackberry and blackcurrant bushes. There's also strawberry plants densely planted to help surpress weeds.  The black water tank is useful for watering plants. A large fennel plant looked lovely in the summer with its yellow flowers. The herb raised bed has parsley, sage, thyme, garlic chives, and lavender. The crimson flowered broad beans are almost finished, so this could possibly be a new no dig bed. The strawberry raised bed has been taken over by aquilegia plants. Theres plenty of sprout plants, but not many have sprouts on the plants. The red and green cabbage bed is doing really well. The next raised bed along needs attention.  The parsnip leaves have died back, and the grape vines need pruning. Comfrey plants have died back and raspberry plants, and I'm not sure what variety they are. The new polytunnel hopefully will be put up soon.
