The King of DIY Wood Hot Tubs strikes again. After three years of brainstorming, testing, and rethinking everything, I finally cracked the code. This is the most ambitious DIY project I’ve ever taken on — a full log-cabin-style hot tub built entirely from cedar 4x4s, stacked and joined like a miniature timber structure. Every wall is solid cedar. The benches are redwood. The joints are sealed with 100% silicone and tightened with internal all-thread rods. No liner, no prefab parts — just raw lumber, craftsmanship, and persistence. And yes — it holds water. For heating, I used a propane-fired portable water heater powered by a pool pump that pushes the tub water directly through the heater. It brought the water to 100°F using nothing but propane and flow. This might be the only hot tub like it on earth. Watch as I bring this one-of-a-kind design to life. Materials: Cedar 4x4s, redwood benches, sealed with 100% silicone Heating: Propane portable water heater with pool pump circulation Techniques: Half-lap joints, all-thread compression, natural wood design #DIY #Woodworking #HotTubBuild #LogCabin #OneOfAKind #backyardprojects
