Our first successful test of the new MakTrak sequential gearbox for Kels the 350z racecar. This was my first time driving a sequential gearbox, and the feeling was overwhelming. It was impossible to control the excitement and sliding around and over-driving was the only way around the track. the gearbox has quite seriously turned this race-car into a video game. It truly was a party, although short-lived. More development is required and I am certain the car will have more speed in it with some more setup work, fresher tires and more laps to learn how to properly drive the thing. To put Kels' speed in perspective; the current lap record for Unlimited RWD is a 1:13.4 that we posted a year or two back, and have done a 1:12.7 in testing un-officially.
